this morning - in just two minutes or so, in fact - i'm off to hamilton to see a committee about a degree. yes, today is my thesis defense.
as i look back on the last year and a half, it's hard not to regret the things i could have done better. still, it's amazing how something has come of nothing, how ore has turned to valuable metal, and how new stories are being heard because i once idly wondered how vietnam war draft dodgers were received by canadian churches.
it's a good day.
